403 forbidden–You don’t have to visit/on this server.
This WordPress error is very frustrating. It may take 3-4 hours to fix it. Actually, it’s not just us. Many WordPress developers have lost their quiet sleep.
This error usually occurs in the following situations:
Access denied on WP-admin or WordPress login page.
When installing WordPress,
When you visit any page on the WordPress website
Note: Sometimes, you may also see the message “Access denied” or “Access to yourdomain.com denied”. You are not authorized to view this page. ”
403 reasons for prohibition
Misconfigured security plug-ins are the root cause of this error. They sometimes block several IP addresses that they think are malicious.
There are other reasons:
1. Corrupted. htaccess file
This is the only way to find out:
Locate the. htaccess file. It is usually located in the same folder containing/wp-content and/wp-includes/
Download the. htaccess file to get a copy of it.
Delete the existing file from your server, and then try to visit the website again.
If the problem is resolved, confirm that the. htaccess file is corrupted.
